Mission Trails Flow Regulatory Structure II & Flow Control Facility

Client: San Diego County Water Authority
Location: Mission Trails Regional Park, San Diego, CA

In 2022 and 2023, American Hydroseed hydroseeded 18 acres of native Coastal Sage Scrub over multiple sites. Some of the sites had difficult access and steep terrain, adding to the challenges of this project. Much of the work was located in a nature preserve, thus requiring careful application so as not to disrupt existing native vegetation. This included maintaining thoroughly clean equipment due to minimal impact requirements.

Some additional challenges were limited water access and performing work on a nature preserve that remained open to the public during our course of work. Our team strategically worked around both challenges and completed the project in a timely manner.
